- How to Apply for Birth Certificate through Online Process ?
One can efficiently fill a birth certificate through online process also. For this, you need to register for birth certificate online on the CRS portal. Then, select General Public Signup, and provide the essential details asked for registration. Now, a confirmation mail will be received.
After you log in, fill the application form and print it. Visit the Registrar office along with all documents. Birth certificate will be delivered by post after the process finishes.
- What is the Procedure to Obtain Birth Certificate by Offline Process ?
In order to register offline for birth certificate, just visit the concerned Municipal Corporation / Panchayat and submit the documents for obtaining the birth certificate.
If the child is born at a hospital, then the Medical office in-charge will issue the letter which has to be submitted.

Important Information:- It is very essential to apply for a new birth certificate within 21 days of child’s birth. However, if the birth is not registered within the period of 21 days, you can register for the same under the Delayed Registration provisions. For this, a late fee is charged.

The adults who haven’t their birth certificate till now, can apply for the same by visiting to the Municipal Corporation or Gram Panchayat of their birth place.
After reaching there, you need to provide all the details such as place, time and date of birth to the concerned registrar. Thereafter, submit the required documents such as Aadhaar card, educational certificate, address proof and pay the registration fees. After a complete verification, a birth certificate will be issued to them.
